Well, what do you know? HTC Ville and HTC Edge/Endeavor just got rebranded AGAIN, maybe this time for good… Now the Endeavor goes as HTC One X, while the Ville goes as HTC One S. The features remain the same, so the One X will be a quad core smartphone with Tegra 3 CPU, while the One S is a dual core ultraslim phone.

I wonder if “One” will become a series like the Xperia and simply get letters following it, with the ones closets to the end of the alphabet being the higher end ones. One can only dream what the HTC One Z features, if this naming pattern is real… Let me remind you that HTC One X comes with a Tegra 3 chipset, a 4.7 inch 720p display, while the slim One S relies on a dual core Qualcomm 1.5 GHz processor and uses a 4.3 inch qHD screen. There’s also a third handset awaited at MWC, a lower end model called HTC Primo.

This may possibly be the first affordable Android ICS model and another product that we’re looking forward to is the HTC Vertex quad core tablet, also with quad core Tegra 3 CPU. Considering last year HTC unveiled around 5-6 news devices, this year’s MWC may prove to be poorer, unless you count the HTC Titan II as novelty and maybe we get another WP unit to have fun with.
