We have already reviewed the Huawei P8 and Huawe P8 Lite, two huge sellers for Huawei, but the Huawei P8 Max somehow didn’t make it to our test table. Now we’ve scored the phone and it also makes sense, since there’s no P9 Max this year, so this is still a solid replacement. You can find it at $514 and we unbox it below.

This feels like a bigger Huawei P8, a bit metal phablet with a 6.8 inch screen. The box is very narrow, just like in the case of the P8 and it includes an USB cable and charger. There should also be a metal key and manual, but our unit was lacking in those, plus the headphones were also lacking. Huawei P8 Max measures 6.8 mm in thickness, weighs 228 grams and comes in gold, champagne and grey.

There’s a 6.8 inch Full HD screen in the mix, with an IPS LCD panel, a HiSilicon Kirin 935 CPU and 3 GB of RAM. Then there’s 64 GB of storage, LTE connectivity, GPS and a 13 megapixel back shooter with OIS and RGBW sensor. The phablet runs Android 5.1 with EMUI 3.1 on top and it has a 4360 mAh battery integrated.

Quite a massive unit and we look forward to putting it to the test. In the meantime you can purchase it from here.
