While some companies take a blow because of the depression, others have big plans for 2009. Among them there’s Intel, with the news of the day: they’ll manufacture a smartphone! Wait a minute… didn’t they show a prototype last year, that should have been the original iPhone (Intel Phone)?
The new smartphone will compete with the likes of the iPhone, Palm Pre and upcoming Android phones so it’ll have to be a great device. Also, the new handset should have an unbeatable price, a touchscreen and what we do know is that it’ll use a platform based on Linux software, called “Moblin 2”, that will reach the developers in March.
