Apple might be running out of iPhone 3G units, or so it seems, if the rumours regarding a possible launch of an 8GB iPhone 3GS unit are true. Immediately after the 3GS was released, the iPhone 3G’s price went down to $99 and now stocks must have been depleted thanks to the popular offer.

The first carrier to get the 8GB 3GS will be Canada’s Rogers, but this info is unconfirmed right now, so take it with a grain of salt. We wonder what the price of the new unit will be… $99? $150? Anything to rival Palm Pre and BlackBerries, right?
