148Apps, a site that reviews and tracks iPhone apps announced yesterday that the App Store has just reached 10.000 applications. The site, which took its name from the fact that you can only have 148 apps on your iPhone, started a tribute page for this occasion, showing a miniature icon for every application posted till now.

There are also a couple of interesting statistics, like the fact that 24% of apps are free, 35% cost 99 cents and their average price is $3.12. Also, you’ll probably want to know that 34% of all applications are games or entertainment-related software and there are 49 weather apps on the iPhone, although there’s already a built in one.
