US Cellular is not the first carrier that comes to mind when you think about Android phones, but they still manage to launch a decent handset every now and then. A good example is the LG Apex, an Android handset that joins HTC Desire and Samsung Acclaim on the list of devices running Google’s OS.

What’s the Apex all about? Well, the design is pretty much what you can see in the image above and the specs are the following:

  • Display: 3.2 inch touchscreen display, haptic feedback
  • Input: full 4 row QWERTY keyboard, d-pad, dedicated number keys
  • Camera: 3MP, autofocus, flash, video capture, panorama mode
  • Connectivity: WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth
  • OS: Android 2.1

The handset will see starting tomorrow in US Cellular retail stores, going for $79.99 after a $80 mail-in rebate.
