The leaks of 2016 phones have begun for a while now, including some Motorola handsets like the future generation of Moto X. Tentatively known as Moto X 2016 or Moto X Gen 4 the handset has leaked one more time today and it’s shown below.

The interesting aspect about it is that it features heatpipe cooling, a feature we also saw on the OnePlus 2 and Xperia Z5 Premium, if I’m not mistaking. This means that there’s most likely a Snapdragon 820 CPU inside, in need of cooling. Below you can see another shot of the same handset, with metal chassis in tow and what seems to be a massive camera.

We’ve previously heard that Samsung was exploring heat pipe designs for its flagships and now Moto pops up with this one. As mobile processors become more and more powerful, they also get hotter and require cooling, in order to stop overheating issues like the ones of the Snapdragon 810 from happening again. Moto X 2016 is quite a few months away from unveiling, but I supposed it’ll get the Snapdragon 820 CPU, possibly a 20 megapixel camera, 4 GB of RAM and a Quad HD screen.
