OPPO will unveil ColorOS 17 on September 17 at the OPPO Developer Conference 2026 in Zhuhai, China. The Android 17-based software will make its debut on the upcoming OPPO Find X10 series, continuing the company’s practice of pairing a new ColorOS generation with a new Find flagship family.
The update is expected to introduce a “floating island” navigation system across the interface and most preinstalled apps. OPPO is also emphasizing more responsive motion effects, with on-screen elements designed to stretch, compress and spring back in response to gestures.
OPPO claims ColorOS 17 delivers roughly 35% smoother interface performance, 20% faster cold app launches and the ability to retain 50% more apps in the background. Those are pre-release company figures, so their practical impact will need to be assessed once the software reaches devices.
ColorOS 17 is expected to expand to more than 130 OPPO, OnePlus and realme models over time, although OPPO has yet to publish a detailed rollout schedule or a complete eligibility list. The September 17 event should clarify both the supported devices and deployment timing.
The Find X10 phones are expected around the same period, but their hardware details remain unconfirmed. Rumors point to a 6.59-inch display, an 8,000mAh battery and dual 200-megapixel cameras for the standard model, while the Find X10 Pro Max has been linked to three 200-megapixel sensors and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. For now, ColorOS 17 is the confirmed part of OPPO’s September launch plans.
