Oukitel’s RG14-P is a rugged Windows laptop designed to extend operation away from mains power, using a solar panel integrated into the display lid alongside a dual-battery system. The company is targeting a commercial launch in November 2026, although it had not announced pricing at the time of its IFA 2026 presentation.
The lid-mounted photovoltaic panel supports solar charging at up to 10W. Oukitel says that, in favorable conditions, it can restore roughly 50% charge in six hours. The system also supports 65W wired charging, which remains the faster option.
Battery capacity is split between a 3,000mAh internal battery and a removable 5,200mAh pack, for a claimed combined capacity of around 95Wh. The external pack can be replaced without shutting down the laptop, an arrangement aimed at long shifts in the field or industrial environments.
The RG14-P weighs 3.7kg and uses a large reinforced chassis with an integrated carry handle and a dedicated lid-locking mechanism. It carries IP68 and IP69K protection ratings, while its 14.1-inch touchscreen is rated for up to 1,000 nits of brightness for outdoor visibility.
Oukitel lists an Intel Core platform, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and Windows 11. Connectivity and authentication hardware include NFC, a fingerprint reader, Ethernet, HDMI and an RS-232 port. The laptop also has an 8-megapixel magnetic detachable webcam that can rotate through 180 degrees.
Known primarily for durable smartphones and tablets, Oukitel is extending that rugged-device approach to PCs with the RG14-P. Its final processor configuration, regional availability and price remain to be confirmed ahead of the planned November 2026 release.
