Samsung Electronics has just announced a mobile phone that incorporates a projector and a touchscreen display, a premiere for this segment, it seems. The model we’re talking about is known as AMOLED Beam, or SPH-W9600.
This device provides a 2.5 times higher resolution and 1.5 times the level of brightness of previous models, plus it’s capable to project images of up to 50 inches in size. Samsung AMOLED Beam also comes with a 3.3 inch AMOLED touchscreen display, with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a 5 megapixel camera and T-DMB TV support.
Bluetooth, DivX and HD video playback are also on board, as well as Microsoft document viewing, a microSD card slot and a compact case.
