Sprint and Samsung announced yesterday a brand new handset with an affordable price tag: the Samsung Conquer 4G. This model will reach Sprint on August 21st, with a price of $99.99. What we have here is an excellent past generation iPhone rival, as far as specs go.

The Conquer 4G comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 1GHz CPU and a 3.5 inch touchscreen display. A plus is the support for Sprint’s 4G network, but there’s also WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS to rely on, as far as connectivity goes. At the back we have a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and zoom, while upfront there’s a 1.3 megapixel camera for videochat.

Bundled with the phone you get a 2GB memory card and this model is promised to have Stereo Bluetooth wireless technology support. Sprint will give you a bunch of apps, widgets, shortcuts, ringtones and wallpapers customized for the client’s needs. These include E1, Green, MTV Music and Social apps.
