Samsung’s upcoming display-equipped smart glasses have appeared in FCC documentation, revealing two model numbers and a 5W charging specification ahead of a reported November launch window. The filings list SM-O200J and SM-O200P, both supporting 5V/1A power input.
The two variants appear to have small differences in the frame arms. They may correspond to designs developed with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, Samsung’s reported eyewear-design partners. Samsung has previously previewed smart glasses focused on audio and AI features, but full commercial-launch details for this model have not been announced.
The Korea Herald has reported that Samsung confirmed a November debut without providing a specific date. Pricing is also unofficial, although estimates place the glasses at about $449, a level that would put them near Ray-Ban Meta territory.
Reported software features include Android XR and Google Gemini integration, with the glasses expected to offer:
- Real-time translation.
- Message summarization.
- Context-aware searches based on captured images.
Hardware details remain unconfirmed, but reported specifications point to the following components and controls:
- A Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor.
- A 12-megapixel camera using a Sony sensor.
- Open-ear speakers.
- Multiple microphones with noise cancellation.
- Touch controls built into the frame arms.
- Control through a Galaxy phone or Galaxy Watch.
Samsung is also reportedly targeting a weight of about 46 grams, at least 5 grams below the 51-gram Ray-Ban Meta glasses. An exact release date, final hardware configuration, price and market availability have yet to be confirmed.
