Samsung has begun expanding its Android 17-based One UI 9 update to the 2024 Galaxy S24 flagship family. The rollout started in South Korea about a week earlier and is now reaching unlocked models in the United States, with reports indicating that availability is widening to additional markets.
- Galaxy S24
- Galaxy S24+
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
A reported Galaxy S24 Ultra download weighs about 3.66 GB and carries firmware version S928BXXU6EZIF, alongside the September 5, 2026 security patch.
One UI 9 adds a more customizable Quick Panel, including resizable elements, while Samsung is also highlighting deeper Gemini integration and new Galaxy AI features. The release includes improvements for Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, further accessibility options and broader system optimizations.
The S24 series is receiving the software shortly after One UI 9 reached the Galaxy S26 lineup globally and became available for the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung has also started a stable One UI 9 rollout for the Galaxy A57 in South Korea.
Distribution is staged rather than simultaneous, so timing can vary by market and device configuration. Samsung has not confirmed a complete regional rollout schedule for every Galaxy S24 variant.
