Samsung’s Galaxy A38 could bring a substantial battery increase to the company’s mid-range Galaxy A lineup. Leaked information points to a 5,882mAh rated cell, likely to be marketed as a 6,000mAh battery—around 20% larger than the 5,000mAh unit attributed to the Galaxy A37.
If accurate, the Galaxy A38 would be the first mid-range Galaxy A model to reach the 6,000mAh mark. The larger capacity could improve endurance, but Samsung is not expected to raise charging speeds: the handset is rumored to retain 45W wired charging.
The camera hardware is also expected to remain largely unchanged, with the following configuration reported:
- 50MP main camera
- 8MP ultrawide camera
- 5MP macro camera
- 12MP front-facing camera
Samsung is also rumored to be preparing the Galaxy A58 with 45W charging, with both phones expected to debut around the beginning of next year. The Galaxy A38 details remain leak-based for now, so certification filings or further reports will be needed to confirm the battery capacity and launch timing.
