Yesterday, AT&T mobile operator officially announced the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active smartphone, device that will offer water and dust proof certification and shock proof. For the moment, this device is available exclusively through AT&T.

In terms of specs we’re looking at a phone that comes with a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution (577 ppi), an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor on 64-bit, 32 GB space of internal storage, and a 3.500 mAh battery. We’re getting the same 3 GB RAM memory chip as the one found on the standard model.

We have a 16-megapixel rear camera, and also a 5-megapixel front-facing sensor. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active comes with IP68 waterproof certification (up to 1 meter), but also dust and shock proof. We notice a rugged case that will be available in three different color variations: white, blue and gray.

However, the best improvement is the 3.500 mAh battery, that compared to the original S6 that brought a 2.550 mAh battery. For the moment the price tag is unknown.
