Although we were sure that countries like Korea already had the best tech available in its stores, it turns out that an 8 megapixel cameraphone is what the country lacked. Well, it doesn’t anymore, since Samsung has just launched the Haptic 8M phone, also known as SCH-W740.

This full touch 8 megapixel cameraphone will only be sold in South Korea and it supports face tagging, smile shot, autofocus and includes a Xenon flash. The handset also supports English language recognition, translating documents after you take their picture.

Among Haptic 8M’s specs there’s HSUPA connectivity (5.7 Mbps max), T-DMB, Bluetooth 2.0 and a Business card scanner. Haptic 8M is now available through SK Telecom for $660.
