T-Mobile recently announced that it’s preparing a black LG Optimus T version for sale. While the original Android handset was pretty affordable on its own, the black one is now available for free, with a contract, in an even more appealing offer.

Believe it or not, the handset runs Android 2.2, while we can’t say the same about some other very praised smartphone, like the XPERIA X10. Meanwhile, Sprint is selling its LG Optimus S for $49.99 on contract, but they might adapt to the competition and switch to the black and free version.

Verizon will also be offering the LG Vortex soon, as a rival to the LG Optimus T… Here’s what the Optimus T is all about: 600MHz CPU, HVGA screen, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS.
