UGREEN demonstrated its HomeAgent smart-home platform at IFA 2026 with a security scenario that escalated from a voice warning to a siren after a person crossed a configured restricted zone. The system connects SynCare security cameras to a central hub that stores and processes footage locally.
SynCare cameras can distinguish among people, vehicles, animals and packages, while users can designate specific areas for alerts. HomeAgent goes beyond conventional motion detection by generating event summaries, supporting keyword searches across recordings and tracking the same person through views from multiple cameras.
Local processing is a central part of the platform’s pitch, keeping camera data on the HomeAgent system in supported scenarios rather than relying on cloud analysis. The aim is to let users ask what happened at home instead of manually reviewing hours of footage.
UGREEN is positioning HomeAgent as the hub of a broader connected-home lineup. Its Uliya voice assistant is available through a dedicated smart speaker for home information requests and control of compatible devices, while the company also showed its Gallery E-Paper Smart Frame. Matter support is intended to extend control beyond UGREEN’s own devices.
The presentation marks a wider expansion for a company best known for chargers, connectivity accessories and NAS products. UGREEN has not confirmed broader availability or pricing details for the HomeAgent and SynCare system, leaving the commercial rollout as the next key detail.
