Although you’d expect ViewSonic to announce a tablet and a device named “SomethingPad” to be a slate, this is not the case of the ViewSonic ViewPad 4. Actually this is an Android 2.2 smartphone with pretty good specs.

The device comes with a 4.1 inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 1GHz Qualcomm CPU and it supports 720p HD video capture thanks to the 5 megapixel camera it incorporates. Flash 10.1 is also on board, as well as GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI out. Launch date and pricing are mysteries at this point.
