If you’re among the people who still use Windows XP, you must have grown fond of this OS, so you might want to take it with you on the road, perhaps even on your Nokia handset. If this sounds impossible, wait till you see what a very smart developer did (iXP and MyPhone running on Nokia 5800 XM) and showed the world in the video below:

The iXP app is basically a Windows XP emulator for your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone, complete with folders and a virtual desktop. The main screen looks like a laptop Home menu, with its battery information at the bottom, signal at the same place and time icon placed just like in the case of a Windows desktop OS.

A Start menu is also included (with Media, Profiles and Calendar options) and there’s even the ability of modifying your wallpaper. This Symbian app can be bought from here, for $4.99 and all it requires is a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone, although I have a feeling it also runs on other Symbian handsets as well.
