Here’s yet another smartphone with a fingerprint scanner and low price, this time the model being called Xolo Q2100. This device is priced at $219 and the fingerprint scanning area will be integrated into the back.



The handset is also meant to function as an universal remote, since there’s an IR port on board. Xolo Q2100 relies on a quad core MediaTek MT6582 processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz, together with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. There are dual SIM card slots inside and a 5.5 inch IPS HD display upfront, with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This model has an 8 megapixel autofocus rear camera, with Exmor R sensor and dual LED flash, plus a 2 megapixel front camera.

Xolo Q2100 runs Android 4.4 KitKat and it’s powered by a 2800 mAh battery. The connectivity options include Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, USB OTG, aGPS and FM radio. There’s an ambient light sensor on board, accelerometer, magnetometer and proximity sensor. The product may come as soon as this week to Indian stores.
