Ford announced a new feature of its F-series trucks and E-Series cargo vans, that will be launched in 2009: Sprint 3G connectivity, via the embedded dashboards. Known as the “Ford Work Solutions” system, this feature should conquer a market segment made of construction workers and logistics managers.

The downside to this technology is the tiny screen of the dashboard, but the uses of the system are multiple, so hard working men who own Ford trucks will be pleased.

They’ll be able to modify and confirm orders, perform estimates, schedule activities, use an optional Bluetooth Printer from Ford, review contracts and even edit blueprints and schematics, inside the truck.
