HTC recently filed a trademark request for the HTC EVO Shift 4G name, showing that the Taiwanese handset maker is readying a hot new handset. The trademark was applied for last month and sadly there’s no info to go with this piece of news, yet.

Originally, HTC had applied for the “HTC EVO 4G Shift” name, but they changed the order of the words in the end. It would have been a pity for the HTC EVO to be left without a successor, considering the huge success of the 4.3 inch smartphone. Speculations say that this new model should be Sprint material and it’ll maybe pack a physical QWERTY keyboard.
