Huawei is assessing a screen-free smart band focused on continuous health and fitness monitoring, according to a company survey that asks respondents about their interest, preferred features and acceptable pricing. The proposed wearable would rely on a phone app for viewing data rather than an onboard display.
The survey outlines a health-tracking platform intended to cover daily activity, rest and training, with features under consideration including:
- Sleep, recovery, stress and workout monitoring.
- Detection of changes from a user’s usual baseline.
- Training and rest recommendations.
- Long-term health and fitness trends in the companion app.
- An AI assistant able to answer health-related questions.
Huawei is also testing a subscription-based business model. One possible base version is priced at about £89 with no subscription and would include core health, sleep and fitness functions. A second option at roughly £129 would bundle one year of premium services, which the survey values separately at about £60. Those paid features could include AI-driven insights, advanced analysis and personalized recommendations.
The questionnaire asks whether users would choose such a band over a smartwatch for everyday health tracking, workout analysis and recovery monitoring. It also references Whoop and Garmin Cirqa as examples of comparable brands or products respondents may know.
The survey is market research rather than confirmation of a retail product, so Huawei has not announced a launch date, final specifications or regional availability. The key unanswered question is whether the company will turn the concept into a direct screen-free challenger built around premium health analytics.
