iQOO has confirmed key hardware for the Pad Ultra, a compact gaming-focused tablet that combines an 8.8-inch OLED display running at up to 165Hz with active cooling. The tablet is scheduled to launch in China on September 29, 2026, and iQOO says it weighs 298g while measuring 5.74mm thick.
The Pad Ultra carries a 9,020mAh battery in its all-metal chassis. Its OLED panel is rated for up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness, a response time below 1ms, 2.65mm bezels on all sides and a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio.
Gaming hardware and cooling
Power comes from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 platform, paired with iQOO's Q4 gaming chip. iQOO says the latter supports combinations such as 2K resolution at 165 fps and ray-tracing effects in compatible games. The tablet also includes symmetrical stereo speakers and dual X-axis linear motors for haptics.

The integrated fan is a notable inclusion for a tablet this thin. It has three cooling levels that adjust according to workload, and iQOO claims the system can sustain its airflow at up to 14,500 rpm. Active cooling could be particularly relevant during extended high-frame-rate gaming, charging while playing or game streaming, where thermal limits can reduce sustained processor performance.
iQOO will introduce the Pad Ultra alongside the iQOO 16 and new gaming earbuds in China. Pricing, as well as availability outside China, has not been confirmed.
