LG has just announced the Town C300 candybar officially, a handset we’ve come across in August and now ready to take off in stores. We’re talking full QWERTY texting machine, with an appeal for social networking. It comes with native Facebook, Twitter and MSN clients, in case you’re wondering.

Push e-mail is also on board and here’s a specs list for the handset:

Display: 2.4 inch, TFT, 320 x 240 pixels
Camera: 2MP, autofocus, digital zoom, video recording
Connectivity: EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB 2.0
Memory: microSD/microSDHC card slot – up to 32GB

This should be an affordable texting device, that will hit British carriers at the same time, pretty soon.
