Nothing is reportedly preparing the Headphone (1) Pro, a higher-end over-ear model that could launch on September 29. The headphones are rumored to cost €349 in Europe and $399 in the United States, although Nothing has not confirmed the product, launch date or pricing.
The standout claimed upgrade is a three-driver audio configuration designed to divide the sound spectrum between dedicated drivers. High frequencies would be handled by a silicon-based xMEMS micro-speaker, a solid-state technology said to offer faster response and greater precision than conventional designs. The headphones are also expected to carry Hi-Res Audio certification, support LDAC, and offer a Flat EQ plus more detailed sound-adjustment controls. Nothing is said to have worked with London’s Metropolis Studios on the tuning.
Other reported features include adaptive active noise cancellation using 10 microphones, a Transparency mode, Bluetooth 6.1 and a 3.5mm audio jack for wired playback. Battery life is tipped at up to 60 hours, with fast charging support also expected.
The Headphone (1) Pro is expected to retain Nothing’s semi-transparent design language while moving to an aluminum frame and scratch-resistant glass surfaces. Rumored white and black versions would carry an IP52 rating for protection against dust and light water splashes. Confirmation of the final hardware and market availability will likely depend on Nothing’s reported September 29 announcement.
