Razer has introduced the Clio X, a wireless audio cushion designed to attach to high-back gaming chairs and deliver personal near-field sound without headphones. The accessory places its speakers behind the user’s head, aiming to create a more immersive audio field for games, films and music.
The Clio X uses two 38mm full-range drivers and two 55mm passive radiators, all directed toward the listener’s ears. Razer pairs the hardware with THX Spatial Audio and acoustic expansion modes intended to widen the soundstage and improve positional perception.
Audio is transmitted over Razer HyperSpeed 2.4GHz wireless, which the company describes as ultra-low latency. The cushion charges via USB-C and is rated for up to 40 hours of battery life. It is built with soft foam and includes an adjustable strap for securing it to a compatible chair.
Razer also says the Clio X can be paired with a 2.0 or 2.1 soundbar setup. Its recommended price is €109.99, though regional availability details have not been specified.
