RugOne’s Xsnap 7 Pro turns its rear camera into a 39-gram detachable action camera, with the smartphone serving as its wireless viewfinder and remote. At IFA 2026, the most notable update was a near-real-time wireless preview from the removable Xsnap Go camera, addressing the visible lag seen in an earlier MWC 2026 demonstration.

The Xsnap Go records 2.7K video at 30 fps through a 133-degree lens. It has 64GB of onboard storage and is rated for around 40 minutes of battery life. Once returned to its slot on the back of the phone, the module can be recharged by the handset.

RugOne says the camera can maintain a wireless connection at distances of up to roughly 50 meters. The removable module is intended to be mounted separately from the phone, including on a helmet, bicycle, clothing or other compatible supports, while the Xsnap 7 Pro remains available for framing and control.

The rugged handset itself uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 chipset with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Its other hardware includes a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 9,300mAh battery, a 50MP main camera with OIS, and a 64MP night-vision camera with infrared illumination.

At 19.1mm thick, the Xsnap 7 Pro is built around durability rather than slimness. It carries IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H protection ratings. RugOne is Ulefone’s outdoor-focused brand.

The 12GB/512GB version has appeared for preorder in Romania at 4,999 lei. Broader international pricing and availability have not been confirmed in the available information; the key remaining question is whether the improved wireless response holds up outside a trade-show setting.
