Samsung’s next affordable fitness tracker is beginning to take shape. Renders attributed to the Galaxy Fit 4 show a slim rectangular wearable that retains the minimalist direction of the Galaxy Fit 3, while FCC certification documents identify the device as model SM-R391 and list Bluetooth 5.4 with EDR support.

The images show a silver frame around the display and a single physical button on the right side. The OLED panel appears larger than the Galaxy Fit 3’s 1.6-inch screen, though its exact size has not been confirmed. Its silicone strap and rear sensor layout appear broadly unchanged.

The Galaxy Fit 4 is expected to include an optical sensor for heart-rate monitoring and sports-activity tracking. Bluetooth 5.4 with EDR would be a modest step up from the Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity used by the previous model.

As with the Galaxy Fit 3, Samsung is expected to use an RTOS platform rather than Wear OS, keeping the tracker focused on core fitness functions. It is still unknown whether the new model will add built-in GPS for phone-free route recording. Samsung has not confirmed pricing or a release date; the Galaxy Fit 3 arrived in late January 2024.
