Although it’s barely been out for a month and a bit, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is getting some nifty price offers. One of them is through Amazon, that sells the first Android 4.0 smartphone for $99.99 with a new Verizon contract.

Amazon offers free two day shipping for this product as well. This was a big premiere last year, since it was the first 720p smartphone available globally, the first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset and overall a pretty good device. It also has a pretty solid 5 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture, 4G LTE connectivity, a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED screen and NFC connectivity.

This is certainly the best Android handset to buy till Samsung Galaxy S III shows up… but that may take a while, considering recent rumors. I wonder what the contract accompanying this $99.99 Galaxy Nexus is worth. Hopefully, it’s reasonable enough to provide some lucky guys and gals with this solid iPhone 4S rival.
