Samsung’s stable One UI 9 rollout for the Galaxy S26 series has begun in South Korea, but the update did not reach other markets on the September 21 date previously listed by Samsung Thailand. The Thai notice has since been revised to show September 28, raising the prospect of a later rollout in at least that market.
The Android 17-based software first became available to Galaxy S26 users in South Korea on September 16. Samsung Thailand’s original schedule had indicated September 21 for the Galaxy S26 series, which suggested expansion beyond the initial Korean release was imminent.
September 28 was already listed as the planned stable One UI 9 release date for several other recent Samsung flagships:
- Galaxy S25
- Galaxy Z Fold 7
- Galaxy Z Flip 7
If the revised Galaxy S26 date is applied more widely, Samsung’s 2025 and 2026 flagships could receive stable One UI 9 on the same day. However, the company has not announced a global postponement, and the change to Samsung Thailand’s schedule may apply only to Thailand.
Samsung has not provided a reason for the gap between the South Korean launch and the expected expansion. Availability in Europe and other regions remains unconfirmed, with September 28 the next date to watch for clarity on the wider rollout.
