The LG Design the Future competition spawned some pretty interesting handset designs, like the one pictured below. The LG Eco Solar Power cellphone was created by Aaron Martinez and it charges both thanks to direct sunlight and incandescent/fluorescent lights.

This design is based on a photovoltaic cell and the phone runs Windows Mobile. Its specs include a brilliant and huge LED touch display, with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, an LED illuminated magnifier, a Microsoft Silverlight-based browser and an 8 megapixel camera at the back. The camera supports 1080p video capture, 200x digital zoom, it includes an image stabilizer and comes with 1/2000 sec max shutter speed.

The magnifier uses a 5 inch round section, with 10x magnification support and +3.00 diopters. Will this device ever become real?
