OPPO has confirmed that its upcoming Find X10 Pro Max will support 8K Log video recording across all three of its 200MP cameras, while Open Gate capture will also be available throughout the camera system. The phone is scheduled to debut on September 22 and has previously been confirmed to use MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.

Open Gate recording uses as much of a camera sensor’s available imaging area as possible rather than immediately cropping footage to a 16:9 frame. That gives editors more room to reframe a clip for horizontal, vertical, or other aspect ratios after shooting. OPPO’s use of “full-frame recording” in Chinese promotional material refers to this full-sensor capture approach, not to a 35mm full-frame sensor.

The company is positioning the Find X10 Pro Max as a more flexible video tool rather than simply a camera phone with higher-resolution sensors. Log recording preserves more latitude for color grading, while the three-camera 8K support is intended to extend that workflow across the available focal lengths.

  • A Hasselblad teleconverter
  • ND filters
  • A focus-control grip

Those accessories are part of OPPO’s KHRONOS ecosystem and suggest support for a more elaborate mobile video rig. Detailed recording limits, codecs, frame rates, and availability for the accessories have not yet been confirmed.

A larger jump from the Find X9 Pro

The Find X10 Pro Max represents a substantial expansion over the previous Find X9 Pro camera setup. The older model paired a 200MP telephoto camera with 50MP main and ultrawide units, and supported up to 4K video at 120fps alongside Log and Dolby Vision recording.

OPPO has also shared samples from the new 200MP telephoto camera, but the full value of the upgraded system will depend on image processing, stabilization, thermal behavior, and consistent output between the three cameras. Those details will need to wait for the phone’s September 22 launch and subsequent testing.
