RugOne is extending its rugged-device lineup beyond conventional smartphones at IFA 2026, introducing the Xlink 7 4G push-to-talk communicator alongside the Xever 8 and Xsnap 7 Pro. The products center on continuous field use: the Xever 8 can remain powered while its battery is replaced, while the Xlink 7 uses cellular connectivity rather than traditional VHF or UHF radio.
The Xlink 7 supports full-duplex calls for up to three users and is rated for 24 hours of typical use or 87 hours on standby, according to RugOne. A SIM Bundle version includes 12 months of service. The package also contains a small Bluetooth push-to-talk button that can be worn on a finger or attached to equipment.
RugOne’s Xever 8 introduces its Swappable Battery 2.0 system. Each removable battery has a 4,800mAh capacity, and two batteries are included in the box. Unlike the earlier implementation on the Xever 7 Pro, the phone is designed to stay active during a battery change without a temporary black-screen interruption.
The Xever 8 uses a MediaTek Helio G200 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 4G connectivity. Its camera setup consists of a 64-megapixel main camera and a 20-megapixel night-vision camera. Other hardware includes a SonicX speaker rated at up to 117dB and a 14mm-thick rugged body.
For comparison, the earlier Xever 7 Pro uses a 5,550mAh removable battery system that allows up to 180 seconds to insert a charged replacement before the handset shuts down completely. The Xever 8 therefore changes the focus from the larger battery in the previous model to uninterrupted operation during the swap.
RugOne also showed the Xsnap 7 Pro, whose Xsnap Go camera module detaches from the rear of the phone. The module records 2.7K video at 30fps, includes 64GB of onboard storage and is rated for up to 40 minutes of operation. Once removed, it can be mounted separately while the phone acts as a live monitor and remote control.
The Xsnap 7 Pro is specified with a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor and a 9,300mAh battery. RugOne says latency between the detachable camera and the phone display has been reduced since the unit shown at MWC 2026. Pricing, launch timing and regional availability for the newly presented devices were not detailed.
