Samsung’s Galaxy A08 4G appears to be nearing launch after a retailer listing in the United Arab Emirates revealed product images, key specifications and pricing. Virgin Megastore lists the entry-level handset at AED 625, or roughly $170, against a stated recommended price of AED 659 (about $179). Samsung has not yet announced the phone officially.
The listing points to a sizable battery upgrade over the Galaxy A07. The Galaxy A08 4G is said to carry a 6,000mAh cell, 20% larger than its predecessor’s 5,000mAh battery, with 25W charging support. It also lists dual-SIM capability, an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, and an 8mm-thick chassis.
- Display: 6.7-inch PLS LCD with a 1,600 × 720 HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
- Processor: an unnamed octa-core chip clocked at up to 2.2GHz; an earlier Google Play Console listing indicated MediaTek’s Helio G99.
- Memory: 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage in the listed version, with a 6GB/128GB option also expected.
- Rear cameras: 50MP main camera and 2MP depth sensor.
- Front camera: 8MP.
- Software: Android 17 was indicated by the earlier Google Play Console information.
The handset keeps a familiar budget Galaxy design, with a waterdrop display notch, relatively thick screen bezels and two vertically arranged rear cameras. The retailer listing names Dark Blue, Silver and Green finishes.
The UAE listing does not establish broader availability. The Galaxy A08 4G is expected to reach additional markets from October, while a separate 5G variant is reportedly planned for early 2027; Samsung’s formal announcement should clarify the rollout and final configurations.
