T-Mobile gets ready for a premiere (the first US 8 megapixel cameraphone), by launching Samsung Memoir, a phone that also packs a full QWERTY keypad and aGPS. The handset’s camera comes with autofocus, 16x digital zoom and Xenon flash, that make it a neat alternative to digital cameras.

Memoir features the famous TouchWiz interface and allows its user to upload pictures to Flickr, Kodak Gallery, Photobucket or Snapfish, simply by tapping the touch display. You’ll be content to find out that the handset supports 3G connectivity, via T-Mobile’s 1700 MHz network, but sadly there’s no WiFi to complete the package.
