We found out just weeks ago about the initiative of the folks of ZiiLabs, who intended to create an unique Android phone dubbed Zii, plus a bunch of other portable devices in the same line. Now, ZiiLABS reveal their first smartphone for developers, dubbed Zii Trinity.

Zii Trinity features a StemCell ZM-05 and this 3.5G phone also supports quadband GSM and triband WCDMA/HSDPA. 1080p Full HD is also on the specs list, together with OpenGL ES 3D graphics (accelerated) and a 3.1 inch OLED capacitive touchscreen display with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution.

We should also expect a 4G version of the phone in the future, claims ZiiLABS, with support for speedier networks. The very rich feature list of this developer smartphone includes WiFi b/g, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, plus a front facing VGA one for video calls, a microSD card slot, mini HDMI and composite video out.

Trinity will be able to run both Creative’s in-house Plaszma OS or the Google Android platform and it won’t be available to the general public, but rather as a “Zii Development 3G Phone Edition” kit, for third parties.
