Chinese company UMI has just announced a new handset called UMI Zero, a model that measures only 6.4 mm in thickness and sports an elegant chassis. The product runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and relies on the MediaTek MT6592T octa core chipset.

The chip is clocked a 2 GHz and the device’s screen is an AMOLED with a 5 inch diagonal. Other specs include an 8 megapixel CMOS sensor at the front and a 13 MP back shooter. The product supports GSM connectivity and CDMA, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. We get 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of built in storage. I should also mention that the phone has a built in battery with a capacity of 2780 mAh.

The texture of the case looks smooth and the front side seems curved a bit and sports narrow edges. The phone has a dual LED flash and its front camera is well hidden, since I can’t seem to spot it on the front panel.
